I bought in Dallas / Fort Worth and San Antonio / Converse but not Austin. Nothing against Austin, just didn't have a good broker there to help select properties. Basic Dallas homes seem to be 150k, Fort Worth 120k and basic San Antonio homes seem to be 100k so I would guess Austin is somewhere around there as well. As for the acting... other than Walker Texas Ranger, I have no idea.

Nice to imagine a place where a firsttime house buyer can have a payment of $700/month that'll have Film/TV work, but I don't really think there's a lot going on in Texas. 'Walker Texas Retired,' is Chuckie running the Mike Huckabee Presidential campaign from Texas, or has he come back to California?
If Dreamworks had taken their $100 million startup to a place like that, imagine the boom it would have created. |
