. . .Doing on the cover. . . ?"
Just one of the little bits at the back of 'Full Metal Alchemist 6,' where there's always the extras. Seems the horned guy, whom we see more of than those kids, is getting the treatment.
Except actually, if they were live action actors, we'd see more of him than either of those kids, even though one is the title character. You see, this is a flashback, and those kids are not the regular Elric brothers, although the "Subhuman" persuing them is recurring. So it's the kids who are bit players, really.
I'm reminded of this tonight when someone yelled "Videodude" and I looked. An actor I'd pointed a camera at, not often enough for him to remember my name. Another unneeded reminder that my career has been reduced to a hobby.
And of the time I was holding a microphone at a hole during a golf tournament, and when I got it in the middle of a discussion ESPN loved me standing there wearing there hat so much I was in the golf for awhile. Driving nuts many people I worked with in more menial jobs, who couldn't get a gig holding a microphone for ESPN at a golf tournament to save their lives.
Of course, those coworkers were doing better than many of the people I worked with at ESPN. Someone from college called a bunch of us when she had to find "Utilities," and those I know what came of them never made a living in TV. That I never saw others again speaks volumes right there.
Ah well, of course I've worked more than the actor has, too.
Oh, and the response from the 'Bit Part character' on the cover? "Forgive me." Nah, don't feel bad about it at all, enjoy it while you can. Sketches like you get so little chance for that.
